Traveling this summer?
Consider setting up auto-payments for your recurring gifts and offerings to continue supporting the ministries of Broad Street while you’re away. Auto-payments can be set up at Broadstreetumc.net/giving. Questions – contact the church office.
Still traveling this summer?
Bring a worship bulletin from any church you visit this summer, or a local newspaper from your travels, and let’s see how far Broad Street Church’s reach is this summer. Attach your name to the bulletin or newspaper and drop it in the church office. We’ll celebrate miles traveled and distances visited at the end of the summer!

Bruno Barn Move
On Sunday morning I shared a story about a barn in Nebraska that was moved, fully in-tact, by hand. We’ve dropped a link below so you can watch the 1988 video of the barn being moved. Isn’t it amazing what a lot of people can do when they all come together. See if you can compare it to the story of the Feeding of the 5000 in today’s Gospel reading. Enjoy!

Life Builders - Chillicothe Correction Institution
Help Returning Citizens!
Life Builders (LBCCI)
Volunteers are needed to join the team of the Life Builders Program at Chillicothe Correctional Institution (LBCCI). Life Builders is coordinated by the Director of Faith Based Programs and helps prepare male inmates who are near their scheduled release date reenter society.
The program meets twice monthly at Chillicothe Correctional Institution. Volunteers review the “Pathway for Life” curriculum and provide 1-on-1 mentoring in a small group setting. Experienced volunteers provide orientation to new team members and inmate support is a team effort.
The eleventh cycle of LBCCI will begin in September and currently meets on the second and fourth Monday evenings each month. After a Life Builders class graduates, the volunteer mentor (Guide) becomes the official “Mentor of Record” for the returning citizen.
Welcome Home for Life Network (WH4LN)
Guideship (mentoring) of returning citizens is continued upon release by the mentor of record and a team of volunteers through the Welcome Home for Life Network (WH4LN), a non-profit faith-based support network. WHLN supports returning citizens in their reintegration into our community, by providing individualized support and connecting them to existing resources – inspired by God’s Love. More information can be found at www.wh4ln.org.
Men who are interested in becoming a LBCCI/WHLN volunteer can contact:
