Choir Set to Resume!

Weekly Choir rehearsals are set to resume this Thursday, September 8, at 7:30 p.m. The Choir will be back with us on Sunday mornings to lead hymns and provide choral anthems each week. We are grateful for the music that has been shared with all of us over the summer and know that each of our musicians added to the beauty of worship each week. We also hope that the Choir has enjoyed a well-deserved break, and we are so excited to welcome you back this Sunday!

A Good Old Fashioned Field Trip

After Worship on October 2, we invite you to join your pastors for an outing to the Columbus Museum of Art to view and discuss their current special exhibit: Raphael—The Power of Renaissance Images: The Dresden Tapestries and their Impact. Bring a lunch or dash across the street to the Schokko Café in the Museum to grab a bite to eat, and then, at 12:30, we’ll enjoy the special program just for Broad Street, followed by an optional program, open to the public, at 2:00 p.m.!

Collecting Gently Used Adult Bicycles
for Drop-In Center Guests

Bikes can be dropped off Tuesday-Thursday from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m., at the gym entrance, or call the church office to make other arrangements.

Water and Chips and Cookies—OH MY!

These are a few of the items regularly included in Manna Café meals as individual serving sizes. These, along with packaging supplies such as three-compartment clamshells, sandwich baggies, cutlery packs, and more are much needed. If you are interested in contributing, please feel free to drop off items on Sundays or during the week. For more specific needs or questions, please see Pastor Angie or email mannacafe@broadstreetumc.net. Financial contributions are also welcomed!

SAVE THE DATE
for the 2022 Central Ohio CROP Hunger Walk!

We have the choice to walk together with other CROP Walk teams from Scioto Audubon Metro Park on Sunday, October 9, or we can do our own hybrid walk as Team Broad Street and choose our own date/route. Sign up at bit.ly/3v30YRw.

Heart of the City Foundation Walk

The Annual Heart of the City Foundation Walk will take place on Saturday, October 15th at 10:00 a.m. here at the church. The Heart of the City Foundation is taking a more informal approach to the Walk this year. There is no registration required. Instead, supporters are encouraged to make a donation prior to the Walk using the HOTCF website: heartofthecitycolumbus.org, Choose “donate” at the top of the home page.

Sign Ups for Ushers, Greeters, Liturgists, and Flowers

As a reminder, for anyone (and we really mean anyone) who would like to assist with Worship by serving as a liturgist, an usher or greeter, or by providing flowers to decorate the Altar, we’d love to help you participate! If you would like to serve as an Usher, please contact Shelley Hobson. Sign-ups for liturgists, greeters, and providing Altar flowers are available in the Narthex every Sunday morning. Sign up for Altar flowers is also available online at bsumc501.breezechms.com/form/altarflowers.
